With 'Infinite Madness', Dimension Seven have made one the most brutal and
aggressive albums ever to be released in Holland!
Since the band got together early 1998, they worked very hard at their
musical career. They gained a lot of live experience over the years.
Supporting bands like Machine Head, American Head Charge and Soulfly, and
receiving an award for best live-act and an audience choice award, they then
made enough money to record their excellent debut album 10 Ways To Hate.
At the Harrow Studios in the Netherlands they now recorded their second
album 'Infinite Madness' with producer Mark ten Braak. Together they made an
album that combines the technical elements of metal with the heaviness of
hardcore.
Opening track 'Just' shows that the band is angry; the song sets the tone
for the rest of the album with its extreme, destructive beats, maniac vocals
and ultra heavy riffing! Most songs handle about political issues,
technology and general stupidity in the world today. Take Oprahganda for
example; with noise samples and Joke's megafocals (very nicely found by the
way!) they portrait the propaganda of the American media.
Other highlights are the short explosion called 'Sempre Fi' and (my personal
favourite) 'Chazzer'. Dimension Seven is a band to look out for this year!
